Pixma MG6250 Printer Review The replacement for the Great MG6150 printer has arrived; the Canon Pixma MG6250. But did we really want or need a replacement? Canon had already hit the winning combination with the existing MG6150 model, so it was differcult for them to improve upon it at this price point. Now that we have reviewed the specification of both models, it appears to us that they have just rebadged the older machine? It is difficult to find any differences between the two models, except for maybe the Cloud printing option. Print resolutions and print speeds are identical, as is the case and controls. Both the Canon Pixma MG6150 and MG6250 use the same print head and Ink cartridges. PGI-525BK large pigment black, CLI-526BK dye based black, CLI-526C dye cyan, CLI-526M dye magenta, CLI-526Y dye yellow, and finally CLI-526GY dye grey. As a result print quality is exceptional, particularly on photographs. As with the MG6150, it is possible to use compatible and refillable cartridges with this new machine. Grey / Gray bulk refill ink is also available and also pigment black for refilling the PGI-525BK cartridge. If you are serious about buying a Canon Pixma MG6250 printer then we would suggest you quickly buy a MG6150 before they completely sell out. The price is currently much lower with the same features and specification, however we anticipate the retail price of the MG6250 to be gradually reduced as the months go by. Please see our review of the MG6150 printer.
